Through the state's Department of Career Development, Michigan Rehabilitation Services Division , funding is being provided to Jennifer for job coaching and occupational assessments. MRC, our local provider of services for the developmentally disabled, is providing these supports. Jennifer is among the first residents in Kalamazoo to be self employed and still be eligible to receive Social Security benefits. Jennifer's sense of self worth has escalated as she experiences contacts with the public both in our store and at Art Fairs where she exhibits items made in her Art Class at the Park Trades Building. |
